His voice & m u s i c  brings tears to my eyes even though I have no idea what he is saying! Such is the p o w e r of sound.
M u s i c transcends language and c u l t u r e

Makes me wish I’d learnt to play a saxophone!

2012 BBC reported “The court also barred S e n e g a l’s best-known m u s i c star Youssou N’Dour – an opponent of Mr Wade – from standing…(for President)
“the court barred Youssou N’Dour from running, saying many of the signatures he had gathered to support his candidacy could not be verified.
The G r a m m y  award-winning musician had announced earlier this month that he would stand.
“The people are fed up with career politicians who almost all enriched themselves with the state’s money,” he said.
The list of candidates who can stand includes three former prime ministers, Idr issa Seck, Mack y Sall and Moustaph a Niasse as well as the main opposition leader Ousman e Tanor Dien g.” – BBC
